Books are Timeless

Books are one of the few mediums that aren’t constrained by digital availability.

Once printed, it’s out there forever.

The oldest books are thousands of years old.

I’ve heard a lot of people say that “once something is on the internet, it’s there forever.”

That might be true in some ways, but there’s a lot of digital content that gets lost because it is digital and not physical.

There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of television shows, movies, video games, social media insights, and website content that’s been lost because it stopped being hosted online, accounts were deleted, the servers shut down, or they were never preserved for rewatching or streaming.

Books, on the other hand, are timeless.

When you author a book that makes an impact, it goes on for decades, maybe even generations.

From a business standpoint, that can be invaluable for the longevity of your brand and your profits.

What is a timeless book and how do you author one?

Some of the most timeless nonfiction and fiction books include:

  • Into the Wild (1996) by Jon Krakauer
  • The Lost City of Z (2009) by David Grann
  • Frankenstein (1818) by Mary Shelly
  • Lord of the Rings (1937-1949) by J. R. R. Tolkien

Each of these books carries a compelling story that is emotionally evocative, insightful, exciting, intriguing, and thought provoking.

With the use of storytelling, metaphor, and powerful imagery, any nonfiction tale can become timeless.

You could author a timeless book for your business that makes an impact for years to come with the right storytelling approach and professional writing support.
